We are addicted to fishing here at Fish Far North. Who wouldn’t be based in the far north of New Zealand. Tell us what you are looking for in a fishing adventure and we will arrange it for you. Salt water is our specialty whether it be land based or on a boat. But we are also happy to co-ordinate fresh water trout fishing for you.

Kontiki Long Lining

An altogether different kind of fishing adventure where the emphasis is on relaxation. The Kontiki is a motorized pontoon that tows out a line with 25 baited hooks up to two kilometers offshore. Then, all you do is kick back on the beach and enjoy a beer, wine, snacks, or maybe just a coffee or tea while the fish bite. After 30 minutes of reaching its preset destination, the Kontiki is winched back, hopefully abundant with fresh snapper and other fish.

Surfcasting

Join our experienced guides surfcasting some of the best land-based fishing spots in New Zealand. Weather will dictate whether it is the East or West Coast but all the good spots are within easy reach from our base. Food and refreshments supplied.
